Locations
During the winter season Formby Chess Club hold their club matches and any informal games at Ravenmeols Community Centre, 225 Park Road, Formby Merseyside L37 6EW (opposite Sandringham Road) on Tuesday evenings from 1915.
During the summer season we meet at the Royal Hotel, Liverpool Road, Formby on Tuesday evenings from around 1930.
The Wirrall League Team play at Wallasey Chess Club, New Brighton Cricket and Bowling Club, Rake Lane, Wallasey, CH45 5DE.
Location of Ravenmeols Community Centre.
From Liverpool Road turn onto Ravenmeols Lane. Look out for Park Road third on the left, but don’t take that road, take the next left Windsor Road, then turn next left onto Park Road, and the entrance to the car park is the second on the right, continue round to the back of the building.
Location of the Royal Hotel:
At the Liverpool Road /Ravenmeols Lane roundabout continue along Liverpool Road. The Royal Hotel is on the left hand side.
